Amazing Spray Tans for Men: Use These Tips for the Best Results!

A good spray tan done by an experienced technician at a reputable tanning salon can make you appear more toned, add a healthy glow to your skin, and make it look like you just returned from a tropical vacation. Women have been opting for spray tans for years, but men can achieve the same benefits from spray tanning as their female counterparts do. If you’re a man who is thinking about standing in front of a spray tan gun and tent, use the following pre-tanning tips to help ensure that your spray tan looks as good as possible:
Shave in Advance
After booking an appointment for a spray tan, it is important to shave facial hair at least 24 hours in advance if you prefer a clean-shaven look. Shaving immediately after a spray tan is not recommended, as doing so can exfoliate the skin of the face which can remove the color that is setting. If you don’t want a splotchy colored face after your spray tan, take care of shaving before your appointment.
Exfoliate the Skin
For the best spray tan, make sure your skin is prepared for the tanning solution. You can do this by using a quality skin exfoliating product all over your body the night before your spray tanning appointment. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells, leaving smooth, new skin which can help ensure a smooth, even, natural looking tan.
Let Your Tan Set Properly
After a spray tanning appointment, it can take some time for the tanning solution to soak into the skin and develop into a bronze hue. If you want your tan to develop properly, avoid taking a shower for at least eight hours after your spray tanning appointment. It is also a good idea to avoid chlorinated swimming pools or vigorous workouts that leave you sweating for at least 24 hours.
