Tips on Cleaning your Spray Tan Gun
Share
Whether your spray tanning gun will or will not have a long lifespan, depends on you.
Due to constant usage, the gun should be regularly cleaned in order to avoid buildups, and therefore uneven spraying. The least you can do to keep your spray gun functional is to run warm water through it at the end of each tan spraying session.
An extra hint - you can use a gun cleaning solution when cleaning a spray tan gun with warm water. Just add around 4oz of warm water with gun cleaning solution to your gun and spray on a white towel or paper towel to see what's coming out. Keep spraying until there’s no more color coming out. It’s best to spray everything out just to make sure there’s no solution left inside of your spray tanning gun.
How thoroughly you spend time cleaning spray tan gun should depend on the volume of your business. If you have a lot of customers and spray tanning sessions, it is advised that you take apart your gun every 1 to 2 weeks and clean every part of it. Take a HVLP Gun Cleaner and immerse the parts of the gun that are only removed during the cleaning process. Leave those parts that require only air to pass through them out of the solution. Also, avoid soaking the whole gun into the solution.
Due to improper maintenance, even the best spray tan gun will have problems working. In order to avoid spray tan gun failure, incorporate cleaning into your everyday business routine. This way, both you and your customers will be satisfied with the quality of your service.
