Do You Need Liability Insurance to Start Spray Tanning Business?
Share
In short, yes. Why? it’s just the way to go and to be prepared for almost every possible scenario. Not to mention, liability insurance will give you peace of mind.
Why are we suggesting airbrush tanning technicians get liability insurance?
Let us share a few examples with you.
Let’s say it’s just another day in the “office” but for some reason, your tanning machine is acting up. You can never be fully prepared for everything and all of the sudden, the hose comes off from the machine (maybe it wasn’t tight enough) and the solution from the spray gun splashes your client. That can be pretty uncomfortable if, let’s say, it splashes on his or her face and goes in his or her eyes or mouth.
Other problems can also arise if you’re in the mobile tanning industry. What happens when you accidentally spill some solution on your client’s carpet? Okay, that can’t be a problem if you pay attention (which you do), but it can easily get knocked down and getting the stains out can be a hassle.
Okay, these two examples might sound a bit far-fetched but you can never be too sure they won’t happen. What happens when your spray tan gun or machine suddenly malfunctions during a session? Yes, nobody wants to go there.
This is why you should consider getting liability insurance. It will give you peace of mind and the kick-start phase of your mobile tanning career will start off smoother since you won’t have to worry about minor or major accidents that much.
